This type of suspension was invented by Earle Macpherson and is now used around the world. Many carmaker prefer this suspension system due to its affordability and simplicity.

This system comes in an upright shape, supported by shock absorbers that are used as the center point of the car’s corner caster. It’s also easy to buy thanks to its popularity.

However, Macpherson suspension is not suitable for large loads and its tilt angle makes it harder for the tires to grip the road.  

Double Wishbone suspension

Types of suspension spring
